Abstract
Modern distributed manufacturing is a critical driver of economic competitiveness, besides being the main objective of Industry 4.0, a production mode based on strong digitalization. However, the shift towards requires manufacturing firms to implement structured roadmaps for digital transformation [1]. Companies face significant challenges depending on their initial maturity level and readiness to transition [2]. This abstract presents a framework integrating maturity and readiness analysis to develop a strategic roadmap, focusing on a cloud-based distributed manufacturing approach. The proposed model supports decision-makers by identifying key variables influencing digital transformation and providing structured guidance for implementation [3]. The proposed method relies on a data structure containing information about the production environment (suppliers, competitors, rulers, partners, etc.) composing the horizontal dimension base to be integrated. The vertical dimension includes the "cluster-owner" – the target production organizer– integrated into the horizontal dimension. Processes are then created in a cloud-based structure to plan and schedule a digital transformation in general or specific to some application.
